My thinking is Singapore should over time decouple from China as ut becomes more aggressive towards Taiwan. The reason is if China initiate an invasion, there will be sanctions and Singapore should not get caught up in the mess.

It is not called invasion. Dont be foolish.
It is called capturing. They were the thieves who robbed all the gold and treasure from China into ROC.
They were the ones who betrayed CCP and KMT cooperation in the past to oust out external enemies and threats.
If not, you think China ppl were stupid in the past to support CCP and not KMT.
