Support for Putin in Russia has increased since the start of the war

Information

According to the independent Russian polling institute Levada Center, support among the Russian population for President Putin has risen from 71 to 83 percent since the attack on Ukraine began. According to the institute, approval rates have always been between 60 and 70 percent in recent years.

Polls in Russia should be treated with caution, as people have virtually no access to independent information and repressive laws make open expression of opinion almost impossible.

On the other hand, the surveys of the Levada Center are conducted anonymously, and the institute itself is treated by the Russian government as a "foreign agent" - a deliberate falsification of the results in favor of the regime is therefore rather unlikely.
