I thought that up to 80% should know by now that the Govt deliberately misleads us. The fact that 60% voted for them shows that they did so because they rather go with the devil they know rather than a weak Opposition.

And those are the 61% lots that are stil in dreamland  having put so much trusts and faiths in them believing they are mighty ones. Whatever words been said are like brain washing machines. Worst of all, keep repeating speeches in the media that can makes one piss-off.

The theory of the illusion of truth is used by many govts. After the people hear the same false info repeated often enough, most of us will come to believe that it is true. Surprisingly, this even happens when people should know better; when we know at the beginning that the misinformation is untrue.

One needs to hv the wisdom to judge for themselves. Just look around and see with our own eyes what is going on around us. Only those blur sotongs like those 61% are easily swayed with some sweetenings. End of the day, they starts complaining against the pappies. Full of confused minds.

The 60% prefer to err on the side of caution by voting for the devil they know instead of the weak Opposition whom they fear is not up to the mark.

In actual sense, PAP started off as an Opposition Party. Thus, in fair saying, everyone deserved a chance and this includes the Opposition Parties. Based on past debates, I can see the Opposition Party, like those from PSP and WP hv brought sensible topics. But, they are been pushed away by the pappies. The Opposition Parties lacks sufficient members to push motions and mandate. We need to hv more to over-rule unpopular policies not benefiting citizens.

The Pappies are hellbent on pushing through unpopular policies. That is why they are going for absolute power in Parliament even though power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
