Approve GG and TKL, only 1 will compete with Tharma and NKS

NKS will lose his deposit, if he does not, then his votes are coming from Tharma support base....LOL

If GG is not approved, NKS also cannot be approved, as NKS eligibility is worse than GG's

Then it will be left between TKL and Tharma (no 3 corner fight, hard for TKL to lose deposit this way)

If all 3 (GG, TKL and NKS) not approved, then it is too obvious it is a kelong and another walkover and PAP will pay heavily in next election

PAP to lose at least 2 GRC, maybe 3, if they opt for a walkover

Am I right? Comments please..If I wrong also nwm, because I am sure that GG will not be approved, together with NKS, both not approved

But TKL should be approved, because in PAP's eyes, TKL is the weaker candidate

taking clues from halimah case, tkl, nks, gg will likely be disqualified.

pap got enough problems, they do not want a problematic president.

Very costly if there is competition. Millions of  Man hours lost. PnP will find all ways to disqualify all except Tarma ter.

Already said in ST that there will be no holiday if there is a walkover. PnP already hint, hint. So no need to TCSS for so many hours here.

This I totally agree. Base on their double standards, they will not want fair competition.

SINGAPORE — The People’s Association Community Development Councils (CDCs) are warning the public about unofficial links circulating online, amid the rush by thousands of Singapore residents on Wednesday (3 January) to access $500 worth of CDC vouchers per household.

The CDCs said they have taken action by filing a police report regarding these unauthorised links and are working with authorities in their investigations.

They emphasised using only official link to claim CDC vouchers and urged folks1 to be cautious of links without >gov.sg domain.

CDC vouchers listed for sale online, authorities warn against clicking on unofficial links to get vouchers

Most listings asked for at least $440.

As at 12.30pm on Jan 3, some 54,000 people were in the queue to claim their vouchers, which can be used at participating supermarkets and heartland businesses. Only one member of each household needs to log in with Singpass to claim the vouchers.

The official link to claim the CDC vouchers is go.gov.sg/cdcv. The CDCs cautioned against trusting links without the gov.sg domain.

“RedeemSG will never send SMSes requiring your personal or banking details,” said the CDCs. They added that the unique voucher link starts with the following prefix: https://voucher.redeem.gov.sg

As at Jan 3, at least four of the eight participating supermarket chains are offering return vouchers or other deals for those who use a minimum amount of CDC vouchers for each transaction.

The FairPrice Group (FPG) will give out $8 in return vouchers for every $80 worth of CDC supermarket vouchers used in a single transaction at its outlets until Jan 17.

An elderly woman in Singapore faced a frustrating ordeal when she discovered that her Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers, worth $500, had been mistakenly claimed by her long-term tenant, after she waited in line for two hours to collect the vouchers.

Revealing that it was her first time claiming CDC vouchers, the tenant told 8world that she believed she was collecting them for her new home in Clementi, currently under renovation and expected to be completed this month. Unfortunately, she mistakenly claimed the vouchers assigned to her elderly landlord’s address.

Upon receiving a call from the landlord, Ms Chu offered to print and return the vouchers. However, the elderly woman, unfamiliar with the voucher system, requested $500 in cash instead.

Ms Chu is now advising other tenants and home sellers to be cautious when collecting CDC vouchers to prevent similar mishaps. She emphasized the risk of tenants mistakenly claiming a landlord’s vouchers and the potential for confusion when home sellers have not yet moved out after a property transaction.

Revealing that she plans to collect her household’s CDC vouchers after moving into her new home and applying for a change of address, Ms Chu urged the CDC to implement measures to prevent such incidents, suggesting that only homeowners should be allowed to claim the vouchers.

She also called for improvements to the CDC system, questioning why the system allowed her to claim the vouchers on behalf of the landlord. She suggested stricter verification measures to ensure that only homeowners can claim their respective vouchers.

According to an FAQ provided by the Community Development Council, the claims page should display the name of the person claiming the vouchers on behalf of the household. If the individual belongs to another household at the same address, residents are advised to visit their nearest community center for further assistance.

Since the launch of the $500 CDC vouchers on January 3, approximately 60 per cent of 1.27 million Singaporean households have claimed their vouchers, with about $8 million already spent at participating heartland merchants,
($250 - hawkers ctr or at kocopy stall and $250 is for supermarkets..
