Russia won't be so stupid to launch an attack on another country and let US have a reason to whack Russia. Best way is to support the pro Russia militia to fight in Ukraine.
As for China, it is different because it is in their constitution (be it China or Taiwan) to claim over the other party lands. If Taiwan is powerful and China is weak, then China would have been the one worrying about a Taiwanese invasion everyday.
So, taking back Taiwan is a lifelong objective for China, be it who is in power.. Taiwan can don't like that, but that is the fact that they can't avoid.

1. I have served the nation in a combat unit for 2.5 + 10 years. I had fulfilled my duty as a citizen, but has the country do it's part for me?
