I had similar ceiling cracks after roof work at my place too. The contractor said shifting weight and vibrations can stress older plaster. I ended up patching and repainting, but if it keeps spreading, I might need a structural check. China contractor like that one lousy...

Thats why T5 changi airport cannot take such risk...we rather spend high cost to engage Japan and western for critical structure. Those toilet and small items non important stuffs can just use China. Well done PAP.
