Inflation is measured with the below.

These items nothing to do with me, so my specific inflation unlikely 3%
Housing … properties fully paid and was bought 20 & 10 years ago - biggest weightage
Transport ….. car fully paid only running cost, so minimum. Maybe public transport have some impact.
Education ….. no one in my household is studying anymore

5 years at 1.8%....ridiculously low.

Some bonds are not very liquid.
At times, simply no buyers.

Selling also involves brokerage charges.

Why does Temasek need to borrow?
Why can't it sell off bad investments to put in better ones?

Din count, because 3 major items of the equation, I would
Housing + Transport+ education = 48.5% + transport running cost of 10% then I should 38.5% off the 100%?
Not sure right or not but I have no 3 major stresses

Personal opinion only, I am sure others may defer from my thoughts. Key when into your mid 40s ….. as less debt as possible because if you have debt you won't have much saving, neither has the ability to invest.

Termasick borrow from you and pay you 1.8%.  Then they borrow them out or invest them for a 3-4% returns minimum. Why not?

It is manipulated when inflation up.
I know raise rate will plunge.
You see Bitcoin plunge liao...
6.2% liao... it will only go higher and higher if rate never rise.
