Just pull out reports from other developed countries
they are giving out higher benefit amount this year due to
high inflation rates
Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

These pensioners have gone thru the best economic growth in 70s, 80s and 90s while HDB prices still affordable.
The younger generations cannot match the past few generations

With CPF Board management restricted to only buying Govt S$ Bonds from MAS, it has failed to fulfill the basic Pension Funds responsibility of maximize returns for members retirement.
With more than 200 commercial banks, majority bought Singapore Govt Bonds as Liability Base requirements rather than for .investments. -
Becoz It's lower % than interbank interest rates.

..iF CPF Board considered investing all our CPF Savings in Govt Bonds as best profit returns.
Why over 200 commercial banks, very few (or none) of them buy Singapore Govt S$ Bonds as investment?

CPF Board management had failed their duties and responsibility.
Rather, They should use Norwegian Pension Funds Yearly ROI as their benchmark.

This whole Govt is just using Democracy as a frontline of defence for GIC/ Temasek interest and say this is some kind of honesty which is unclear and not transparent.

And why should those who did not borrow CPF money cares about Increasing CPF Interest will affect those pple borrowing CPF money. As for affecting economy system, that sound like what PAP will say to scare ppl..
Bottomline is govt want to play like an INC.. Good time when interest rate is low, tell us must peg to SIBOR..
Now interest rate go up already, will tell us no more INC... need to care about pple borrowing CPF money etc. & affect economy system.. Everything govt wins..

CPF rate goes up -> loan rate goes up ->cooling of property. Isn't this a good way of taming speculation?

In Australia, workers superannuation (pension fund) average ROI 9.20% while bank housing loan @ 3.25% pa.
It's technically unrealistic or wrong for CPF CEO to peg housing mortgage rates to investing of CPF Savings. Why?
Then, CPF Board CEO and management (lazy and incompetent) will never put an effort to maximise returns for members future retirements.
Taboos
