Bottomline is govt want to play like an INC.. Good time when interest rate is low, tell us must peg to SIBOR..

Now interest rate go up already, will tell us no more INC... need to care about pple borrowing CPF money etc. & affect economy system.. Everything govt wins..

To comply with market practice

Irrespective of whether rates affect GIC performance or not, CPF must increase to 3.25%

Basing on banks12 months FD AVG rate @ 2.70%, trajectory 30 years, CPF Savings is 0.75% - 1.00,% higher than banks.

Rightly CPF Board should pay OA at least @ 3.25,% pa.

As comparison to Temaseks performance

"Temasek said on Monday that downturns in China and the technology sector in particular had weighed down on its performance, with shareholder returns standing at just 5.8 per cent in the 12 months to March, far below the 24.5 per cent recorded for the previous year."

OMG..last year was 24.5% while CPF management only achieved 2.5% P.a.

Our CPF savings providing lifeline link to GIC is  becoming a burden to everyone, and is preventing CPF Board from hiking interest rates.

We lost income and cost opportunities

Govt SWF, GIC is now, a burden to each and every CPF members in this country.

Our Govt is India No.1 foreign direct investor.

Our CPF savings are facing troubles in India as stock market crashed to it's lowest in 2022.
