Just like other American and European car manufacturers : only their China factories are making money!

Tesla made a big mistake to locate factory in Europe...the cost and regulation is like crazy.
He was trying to go around the tariff wall but find himself in a cost spiral

Tesla rides on the Green Energy wave
This wave is now receding (temporarily?)
Biden issued a warning to Big Oil, instructing them to pump more oil
Green Energy is now background noise

Electric cars wont survive the fast paced economy unless charging time is drastically reduced from 45mins to 5mins and/or storage capacity multiplied to double the range without adding weight to the vehicle or cannibalising payload space
Internal combustion engine instantaneously converts chemical energy into mechanical energy, stored in very light form naturally over millions of years. The advantages trump over batteries.
The real problem is that existing ICE used in cars today are very inefficient and wasteful. This is the crux of the argument adopted by electric vehicle makers.
Strangely, the design of ICE hasnt changed since the last 100 years even after humans already landed on the moon & went to mars.
Big Oil is making a lot of money and has little incentive to explore more efficient engines

If not why he reduce head count?
Another buying opportunity when hitting my buying price.
1st round I gained 10%
2nd round I gained 15%
3rd round I will gain?
650 USD is a good entry point. But I know the extreme low is at 622USD.

I think even if ICE is more efficient, they'll still give out harmful by products which comes from burning fossil fuel. Save the earth by burning less fossil fuel.
