Tesla's battery packs, previously often 18650 or 21700 batteries, like AA, AAA

Assembled

Tesla's battery packs are indeed composed of many individual battery cells wired together.

Specifically, they use numerous small lithium-ion cells, often 18650 or 21700, which are grouped into modules and then assembled into a larger pack.

This approach allows for high voltage and energy capacity, while also enabling efficient cooling and management of the battery pack.

They are also used in torch lights and power banks. Power bank comes with a casing and removable 18650 batteries.

Airlines usually allow up to 20 spare lithium-ion batteries per passenger in carry-on baggage

Never dump away the lithium battery when the battery is low voltage. It can be revitalised.
