PAP needs to help jobless PMETs above 40 yrs old with suicidal thoughts with more job programmes.
During Covid, PAP provided temp SMRT and hospital jobs to SIA stewardess.
After Covid, all these temp jobs disappeared.
PAP should do the same for unemployed PMETs with temp jobs.

There are several factors for people to get jnto finanical trouble.
One is becoming jobless. People start using their credit cards but cannot get job for too long. By the time they get a job the debt is quite big or the fiannces are destroyed and they still cant find job. They arw often advjsed to sell homes or ask relatievs for help to avoid bankruptcy.
The other one that surprise me is scams. This is also related related to joblessness. They lose their jobs try to find way to make income. Scammer target them by either ecommerce or trading scams.
Anyway, people say alot of things but truth is above age 45 very hard to get a job that has same pay. You may get one with substantially lower pay. Lots of issues because of higb financial commitment and high cost of living.
The habit of some singaporeans is to trivialise the problems of others so lkng as they themselves are okay.

Too much education is aso a problem. Where to find so many white collar jobs for the graduates? To make things worse, even the lowly educated like ermao dawk aso rather stay home play carrum than going out to look for jobs

What yoh say is rubbish.
Without a degress teh jobs prospects can be very poor.
The PAP claims there is no need to have a degree to do well in Singapore why then does it bring in so many PMETs and professionalls from othe countries ti compete agajnsg Singaporeans many of whom dis not have a chabce to pursue a degree.

Everyday thousands of workers come via the causeway to look for jobs, while you and ermao dawk couldn’t find any jobs? What’s going on?

jobs are always not enough.
the key is priority for singaporeans or singaporean first.
currently when there is shortage of manpower in certain industry, PAP will open the flood gate to welcome foreigners/PRs.
this is wrong.
PAP should start a programme to place and train singaporeans into the industry with manpower shortage.
only if PAP cannot get enough singaporeans, PAP can then open the gate to foreigners/PRs.
From my experience, all govt place and train programmes are oversubcribed.
It means there is no shortage of manpower once the govt come up the place and train programme.
however current place and train programmes are one time type or short term type because funding is short term only.
these programmes must be made permanent.

If Singaporeans are not first in PAP priority...what is first?

Yes, too much education is also a problem. The quality of graduates now is not the same as the that in the 1970s or 1980s. It's not like when one person gets a degree he's suddenly become more capable.
Also, Spore dun need phds. There are simply not enough high-end R&D work for these people and they ended up working in the same research institutes, which are mainly stated-owned. Problem with state-owned organizations is that their system is very rigid.

This is a world-wide problem and it's very difficult to solve. Companies dun want to employ older people because maybe they are asking for higher salary and they're not so adaptable.
What's your solution to solving it?

politics come first for PAP.
to grow population, PAP needs to provide jobs for foreigners/PRs to come to singapore.
growing population or provide jobs to unemployed, politics come first.
in this case, growing population has the priority.
if unemployed take up all the jobs, PAP cannot provide jobs to foreigners/PRs.
the population cannot grow anymore.
changi business park is a good example that 80-90% employees are foreigners/PRs.

I respect this PAP MP because of this. He dared to speak the truth and be honest. Not many politicians are able to do that. Look at all the dishonest and deluded politicians in the West turning a blind eye to the black and brown immigration to their countries.

Why we can’t find a job was the salary they offer can’t fight again the inflation in Singapore but benefit for those causeway friends because of exchange rate. They take salary back and buy landed properties where else we are paying our debt here.
