The Govt is the cause of inflation in S'pore

Govt policies like increasing S'pore's population past the 6 million mark has made us the most expensive city in the world. So the Govt is the cause of inflation in our country. If they are serious about controlling the cost of living, reduce our population to 3.5 million residents.

Of course. The imported inflation is a Minimal impact as compared to the long list of price increase on the basic essentials that triggered a tsunami Cost of Living.

When Chee Soon Juan joined the S'pore Democratic Party (SDP) in 1992, and contested in a by-election, he was the first university academic to challenge the PAP. Shortly after joining the SDP, Chee was dismissed from his job at the NUS by his boss, PAP MP and the head of the Psychology Dept, Prof S Vasoo. He was accused of misusing research funds and making false claims. Chee denied these allegations, claiming they were politically motivated. He appears to have been fixed up. Chee should retire from politics, and concentrate on his business; he has suffered enough for speaking up for the long suffering people of S'pore.

Increasing GST over multiple years was the key contributor to inflation.

But, he shd not hv heen over emotional and blunder when he verbally attacked a minister during the walk-about GE. This actually got him into a libel suit and bankrupted.

Our leaders have long maintained a facade of competence, using this to justify exorbitant salaries, exceeding those of public servants in much larger and wealthier nations. This has contributed to the growing inequality gap between the wealthiest S'poreans and those with lower incomes. The ruling party must be prevented from using secrecy and non-disclosure to instill fear in citizens, leading us to believe that constant belt-tightening is necessary to safeguard the reserves. Meanwhile, a select few manage these reserves inefficiently, seemingly benefiting from their actions.
