Decoupling is impossible as the U.S. and China economies are highly integrated over the past 40 years and 90% of supply chains and skilled workers are in China…imposing sanctions to China will hurt the U.S. and rest of the world, as many everyday products are made in China, China dominates 90% of rare earth processing in the world and most of the critical minerals that are essential for the manufacturing of the U.S. warships, fighter jets, commercial planes, spaceships, automobiles, tanks, missiles, weapons, semiconductors and medical equipments. Many of the cancer drugs are made in China, without which millions of American cancer patients will die. China is now world’s largest shipbuilding country and builds 70% of the ships for the world, sanction on that will shoot the U.S. in the foot. Christmas trees & presents and toys will be no more after the sanction.
