As usual, talk only no actions or firm timelines. Same as the VEP.

As long there is PCR or ART test needed, most people won't go on day trip to MY just to shop. Too much hassle.

Malaysia's consumer price index rose 3.2% in December 2021 compared to a year earlier, mainly due to increasing food and fuel prices, according to government data released last week.28 Jan 2022

No longer cheap in Malaysia...not much savings anymore to eat and shop in JB. No point going in.

I was about to ask this question.

Do we need to do PCR/ART on both sides of the Causeway?

To me, it is a hassle I can do without.  If I have to spend time and money for this, I would give Malaysia a miss until these requirements are also taken out..

I go there to enjoy.  To me, it's a short trip, a vacation, and I don't like it spoilt by having to test negative 48 or 72 hours before departing Singapore, and then upon reaching Malaysia, it's testing again.  And on the return trip, it testing all over again, 48 or 72 hours before, whatever, and upon arriving in Singapore, it's another test....too much of a hassle lar.

If that is the requirements, then it is not feasible to enter Bolehland, it is too much of a hassle to go thru' all those tests........

Need to download their App (My Se simi kejaya something) in your mobile phone, and upload your ART test result if you are going over by bus.

If not, you need to print hard copies and bring along with you.

Very troublesome to me.
