It's been a rough year for hedge funds. Stocks and bonds fell simultaneously for the first time in 28 years, hurting long-term investors a lot. Traditional investment strategies based on low interest rates are no longer viable.

Before we use grand terms like great stability.

What is happening now is stagflation...economy slows same time as inflation takes place.

Fed press the brakes car slows down but does not slow down fast enough so he push the brakes harder.
