The incompetence of 4G ‘leadership’ becoming more glaring by the day
#1

(ST, Sep 28) “Telemedicine providers stretched thin as more people go into home recovery for Covid-19″

It states that “Last week, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said patients who have not yet heard from the authorities can approach telemedicine providers for assistance at no charge if they feel unwell.”

One doctor commented: “We saw many patients who were unsure of what to do after being diagnosed. Our doctors had to spend a longer time with each patient to address all the concerns, while other patients are in the queue.”

Comment:

It is, arguably, weak foresight that while the Health Minister ‘foresaw’ that the number of cases would hit 3,200 as early as 10 Sep, but had failed to take any pre-emptive measures to slow the spread or increase the capacity.

In this connection, it was only when the cases hit nearly 2,000 that the 4G ‘leadership’ started to react by reducing the number per table from 5 to 2 and roping in the SAF and the People’s Association to help with the logistics.

Even so, there have been various reports to say that those who are recovering at home were frustrated as they were unable to get through the hotline and were receiving repeated instructions. In such times of crisis, the people who have been infected by Covid-19 surely deserve better than having to feel anxious by senselessly waiting for directions.

I am not their supporter and many can vouch that I am anti Piss And Poo, but I am pretty satisfied with their handling.
These are extraordinary times so only one can react to fluid and dynamic situations and only that much you can be proactive, juggling an endemic and keeping the economy alive.
Stop being a self-entitled whining little bitch.
This show many Singaporeans are not resilient to adverse circumstances

That's the Singapore LKY has molded into. He wanted a domesticated citizenry that is obedient and law-fearing and he got it.

The end result is that Singaporeans have become a whiny lot who expect that the govt plan every detail for them and provide instructions on how they should go about their daily lives.

And this could not be entirely faulted, as the govt has portrayed their leaders as superbly capable with an almost godlike ability to overcome every crisis, and of cos, done so that their high pay is justified.

The question should be “do they deserve the remunerations” which they have justify for themselves?

Especially when accountability are never there under the leadership of our current PM.

I do not have any of these information, but I thought they would go to those company that were of GIC vested companies….

Surely they will justify their remunerations as they “deem” fit and these at times are not publicly available.

This one , a lot just enjoy their current position daily. Work is not intensive.

The major ones are Health, Education, Defence , Finance, MOM top 5, 2nd tier transport and Info com the rest just social matters stuffs .
Ironic two now current under Ex SAF scholar , that is Health and Education and looks how crappy it become even. Infocom now under josp, she just chill one side. , For transport, already years switch between ministers handle , Iswaran now take over half of the job already done there, he just continue. nothing serious stuffs oversee , breakdowns still have but at least not say alot than last time.

Defence, Dr Ng, old guard, just matter of time step down or who knows what mentor again just like Teo, Tharman , Goh behind

Finance, Heng and Lawrence , both are cracking their heads how to get more deals , investment come in SG.

They don't regard themselves as employees. Instead they are gods. That's why can take.vrazy salary, don't need to be accountable cos their bossman said genuine mistake move on... Singaporeans voted for this, let it be.

There is a popular English proverb that says “cometh the hour, cometh the man” – the idea that the right leaders will come to the fore during times of crisis.

This is a time that bring about the leader and their decision made not to threaten the people’s lives or livelihood. There is no easy path or decision to take during a crisis, in reassuring the people by convincing their moves are the path, one wrong move the trusts that brought on the people will break.

Just like their choices right now, completely, utterly gone down the drain. And they are stubbornly pushing this through, despite seeing many death on both vaccinated or unvaccinated. Where hospitals are running out of beds as well as running out of rooms, so much so that they have to use the car park as holding bays. As well as leaving those infected whether by choice or not, on their own to quarantine at home and running the risks of infecting many more.

This government leaders are putting the citizens and people of Singapore at risks with no accountability. No one not even our PM says a word about holding responsibility, but then again come to think about it, he has been the same for all the past foul ups his administration has brought us. So no difference and why hope for things that are never there. He and his team still sleep well every night, despite the death tolls are climbing along with the number of new cases.

In time of a crisis such as this, one can really tell whether our leaders are up to the job. The recent moves they make are questionable.

I do think whatever the task force suggests is approved by cabinet.

They lack innovative ideas and overlook many small but critical details.

Gross incompetency.  They are more suited as highly paid efficient administrators rather than critical and forward looking thinkers and leaders.
