Former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who was given an eight-year prison sentence today, can seek a royal pardon and the process might take one to two months, said deputy director-general of the Department of Corrections Sitthi Sutivong.
He said that as soon as he arrived in prison, Thaksin (above, right) submitted an application for a royal pardon.
“The process can take about 2 months...but 1st from Yingluck the youngest among the 9th in the family. 1st is to have a good dinner with is youngest SWEETsister. Ms Yingluck. Wish You Good Luck.
