It used to be Americans pride their country as a "melting pot"...
Yet, as time goes on, it seems the political system and demographic changes actually put more stress across the country.
What is more revealing is instead of appreciating the difference, Americans today have become more divided, not because of multiculturalism, but even corrostive overemphasis in "individual freedom, liberty and rights" in the name of the US laws and constitutions while the underlining cracks is ever present and easily exploited by difference interests. The result, sadly, is Americans have become more hyper-sensitised about their own identity vs "others" - leading to mental and behavioral issues...To quote from the Article:
There’s evidence that mixed-race people have higher rates of mental health issues and substance abuse, too.

It was nearly 100 years after independence in 1870 for African American men to vote.
Then it took nearly another 100 years in 1965 when African Americans women can vote...
Can anyone tell me when did "multiculturalism" truly become front and centre of American value and governamce since its independence in 1776 ?

People like grotesquenessh who suffers from short term memory lose ignore US had a "mixed race" President not so long ago. That didn't help America - in fact racial tension in US actually worsen...

Actually Mrs Haley (which she took from her Angmoh husband William Michael Haley) is of Sikh heritage.
This means the real-mix race is Mrs Haley's 2 children.
So calling her "Indian" is incorrect since her parent's motherland of Punjab is fighting for independence from India, which itself is not "Sikh"....

LOL! There has always been debates since 1776 whether America is going into "reverse" or its "progressiveness" is doing more destruction to this social experiment we called USA - which is the ONLY country after Britain to use the English word "United" when in reality it is a federal union of 50 seperate states...which had gone to war against each other just 150 years ago...
