“The irony here is that everybody is expecting a recession,” he said. That could change their behavior, the economy could cool and the Fed would not have to tighten so much as to choke the economy, he said.

“Debt-service burdens have never been lower, households have a boatload of cash, corporates have good balance sheets, profit margins rolled over, but they’re close to record highs,” Zandi said. “The banking system has never been as well capitalized or as liquid. Every state has a rainy day fund. The housing market is underbuilt. It is usually overbuilt going into a recession. ...The foundations of the economy look strong.”

well expected means more will be ready. so may not happen.

factors that will help towards no recession.
changing of ice car to electric car. that will kill many current manufacturers for ice car and encourage new investment in electric car related parts and services.
money will not just continue to flow to arab country after the spike in oil price in next few years.
changing to more green energy. investment to install wind, solar, energy. storage for electricity, green/grey hydrogen, lng, additional power plant.
5g related equipments. network installations . expiring fibre optics network that was installed more then 20 years ago.
end devices like 4g to 5g phone change.
more covid related vaccine.
old age care.
so many other new thing. in bio tech etc.

so how to be one sided and say economic recession. singapore economy is small compared to world. jsut invest in all those area in need and economy will boom.
