An increasingly unstable global geopolitical stage has prompted economies to ramp up military spending and investors are rushing to cash in on the trend for a return to war footing.

On Thursday, Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles unveiled a $2 billion plan to develop a “top secret” data cloud in partnership with Amazon Web Services as part of an effort to build out the nation’s intelligence.
