Thumb drive 2TB, makes sense?
#1

I bought a few 2TB thumb drive because its capacity is huge compared to previous

But then think about it, what is the point of having such a huge capacity if the speed sucks?

Copy files and folders, speed is 4 KB/s

Compared to a similar capacity portable hard disk (western digital), speed is over 80 to 90 MB/s

Anyone knows of a good reason to have a 2TB thumb drive besides it is dirt chap compared to a portable hard drive?

Your good comments are much appreciated

Always start small
Use the Large to keep your Image disks.
U resize the image file before cloning into a new disk.
Good luck.

At 2TB u reach the formatting limit for use across platforms

The other concern is data error. Flash memories used in thumb drive and SD cards don't have many rewrite cycles. If you have important data, don't store just one copy on your 2TB drive.

Apart from IOT 5G with the danger of short waves at close range like a machine gun that point at you with a credit score communi system, we need to know BUS speed of USB-C and USB 3+
This the area of single board computer. The size of matched boxes.
And the patents dat keep Humanity down. Cannot connect going in circles.

The smaller the hd is, the slower the speed. To store 70K files, mostly JPEG files, may take more than 24 hours.

Too large capacity will save more files but once corrupted more files and data will be gone.
