CEO Shou Zi Chew's testimony before Congress did little to assuage U.S. worries over TikTok's China-based parent company ByteDance and added fresh momentum to lawmakers' calls to ban the platform nationwide.

Nowadays, source codes can be developed by IT personnel from anywhere in the world! There is no physical boundary!

One example : Standard Chartered Bank only has 3 IT centres : London, Singapore and Hong Kong. They don't need IT people all over the world and the IT personnel don't need to travel all over the  world!
