for hygiene purpose. Esp so many covid cases.
So one day he told me off. Don't take his wooden
Chopsticks, it's meant for takeaways.
From then on, it's goodbye.

Seriously I think most sporeans won't take cutlery from stalls they do not patronise but foreigners may not know. For such infrequent incidents, hawkers should just be very forgiving and generous. If hawer told me off for very small things I guarantee won't give them my business ever again.

I am always surprised how many hawkers open stalls only to quarrel and pick on everything, as if their stalls are iron rice bowls that cannot break

Remember those times when mobile shops attendants are laulan and haolian, as those were the days of motorola and sony ericson, as if they are kings of the boardwalk
