Today 2 Chinese companies have mRNA vaccines approved for trials

They insists on their own vaccines when these exists have already been around and tested on no less than 2 billion people.

Such dogmatic decisions comes at a heavy cost to the population and economy. How the country can position itself through propaganda and politicisation to the point that it becomes unpalatable to use another country's treatment reflects a kind of weakness in thinking. They can just workout a licensing deal to have the production in China so they can rollout fast and solve the problem.

We should be in a position always to be able to source for the best solutions regardless of where it comes from. It is really unwise to lead a country to such a state ...where nationalistic agenda can negatively affect the people

It's better to do R&D and own the tech rather than depend on others. U dunno what others put inside their mRNA lah.

You r naive....if a Chinese comes out a drug, it has to be sure that it doesn't infringe the patent protection on the 2 existing MRNA vaccine...it has to be different. If some thing is similar, they cannot luanch the product wo potential getting sued
