It is a matter of getting used to it. Humans must adapt to changing environment. Cannot be too dependent on good things forever. Must learn a bit of hardship or inconveniences at times.

ex-transport minister Iswaran should be partly blamed for this breakdown as he has spent his time on free expensive things instead of on SMRT.
