It must be that the contractor had not paid the cleaners their salaries, and thence this happens.............. Big Grin

I wonder did NEA or their contractor cut manpower after the return tray policy? or their manpower is always liddat, just that the overflow problem dun surface until policy effective. maybe before return tray policy, dirty plates were left for a long time on each table until the cleaner free then cum and clear

I think with the introduction of tray return the cleaning contractors would hire less cleaners, hence the overflowing dirty dishes.............. Big Grin

TRAY RETURN LAW IS A BIG FAT FAILURE!!!!!!

https://www.bannedsite.com/forum/current...at-failure

Amoy Street Food Centre's tray return station overflows, nearby tables and seats seen inundated with used plates and utensils

https://www.bannedsite.com/forum/chillin...-utensils/

Dirty, unsightly coffee shop in tampines spotted - failure of tray return legislation?

https://www.bannedsite.com/forum/chillin...egislation

Houston, I mean Amy Cock, now we have another problem.

https://www.bannedsite.com/forum/current...er-problem

[GPGT] Stinking legacy of Eggmy Khor's tray return policy continues.....next stop,VivoCity!

https://www.bannedsite.com/forum/chillin...p-vivocity

All tray return stations @ PLQ Kopitiam full, only one cleaner on duty

https://www.bannedsite.com/forum/chillin...er-on-duty

One tray return rack, or even two, may not be enough if the cleaners are unable to collect and wash fast enough to clear the racks to make space for more crockery and cutleries.

Before the tray return law was passed, these very crockery and cutleries would be on tables - and of course, unsightly.  What is happening is that the crockery and cutleries which used to be on say, 100 tables are now to be placed on one (or two?) racks which is clearly not enough.

I don't think the contractor had cut down staff.

To solve the problem, you would need x number of racks where x = the number of table spaces.  Alternatively, you need to increase the number of cleaners and wash areas so, that one or two racks can turnover faster.

After wiping the tables and chairs, the cleaners also use the same cloth to wipe the floor??
