US President Trump expressed his sense of crisis by telling reporters at the White House on the 8th that if the dollar loses its status as the key currency, "it would be like losing a big world war." 

He indicated his intention to impose a 10% tariff on the BRICS countries, a group of emerging countries that are seeking a means of payment other than the dollar.

It is for sure the USD will lose its reserve currency status in a matter of time. They should never weaponised the USD and used it on Russia during the Ukraine - Russia conflict if they want to maintain the reserve currency status. No country would want to be held by balls in the midst of a war when US weaponised it by removing its SWIFT Code.
