Why is MRI at Garment Hospital More Expensive than Private Clinic? Doesn’t Make Sense

I went for a MRI for my knee at garment hospital, the total bill is $1040, after garment subsidy it is $612.

However last year when I did MRI for knee at a private clinic in Orchard, the bill was only $480 (Excluding GST), no garment subsidy applied. Thinking

PET scan also. SGH costs $3,200 while private at paragon the same test only $1,400

I suspect Govt raise prices telling is competitive price then give u discount as subsidy. Like hdb etc. Not only that, they will check your income level before final bill esp hospital bills.

Who the hell can go verify those billings..

I think garment hospitals increase prices too much that are more expensive than private ones now.
