When the Soviet Union allowed German reunification, effectively handing over Soviet satellite state GDR (East Germany) to US-occupied state FRG (West Germany), the promise was no eastward NATO expansion.
That promise was broken many many times and NATO is literally expanded to the borders of Russia except for Belarus and Ukraine, and now they even want Moldova. And for Armenia and Georgia to join EU through coup and colour revolution.
