S'pore push to most expensive global city- ordinary S'poreans sacrificial lambs
#1

The effort to bring in wealthy  people, high income fianncial professionals and billionaires is endless. Keeping wealth tax low giving them accesss to buy condos, GCBs and cars.

In the past we trusted the govt when they said that doing all this will benefit ordinary Singaooreans. Housing and cars will remain affordable to those who need it. Even as we noted the illogical nature of such an argument we trusted the govt. How bingung in hundreds of thosands new citizens and pushing our population to 6 million not push up housing prices and cost of living defies  logic but many Singaporeans trusted what the PAP govt said.

You cannot say that the problems are not foreseeable  by at least some Singaooreans ...10yrs ago all these potential troubles were highlighted during the Population White Paper protests but those who spoke up were dealt with by the govt

Today for a lack of a better phrase "shit hits the fan" and the truth comes out.

Today we have a cost of living crisis. What fhe PAP said will not happen has happened. What the people PAP have silenced like Leong Sze Hian said will happen has happened.

We are not talkimg just about trust. No. I dont believe the PAP govt cannot see all this coming. I believe they knew their policies will be negative for ordinary Singaporeans with lower income but they went ahead anyway.

We all caught a glimpse of what happens at the top in the B&W house saga and the $88M sale of a leader's home. Sure some says nothing wrong. Some say no rules broken. But it is clear who are the beneficiaries of all these policies. ...and who suffered. Just ask yourself is life better than it was 15yrs ago?

The gains from it motivate the elites to supoort a system that does not benefit yhe commoners.

That is my point.
