(omg it to nearly a mth after Election Day) due to California’s protracted vote-counting process, which allows for corrections on improperly filled mail-in ballots. (OiC)
The result will give Republicans a slim, 5-seat majority in the House — 220 to 215 — when it reconvenes in January, which could prove to be a headache for party leaders as they seek to push through President-elect Donald Trump’s has a legislative agenda.
Republicans’ narrow edge in chamber will shrink further, however, then, when Republicans Mike Waltz & Elise Stefanik — both tapped to serve in incoming Trump administration — leave the House.
So two is leaving, another is lost to donkey party, mean three lehh.

Counting votes takes a long time in California. A new bill could change that.
A new bill introduced Monday aims to speed up notoriously slow process of counting ballots in California. Assembly Bill 5 is light on specifics at moment. But that’s b'cos bill’s author, Assemblymember Marc Berman, wants hear from local elections officials & voter advocates b4 he settles on exact proposals that may help speed election results.
“We want hopefully come to some consensus, what is a reasonable timeline for counting of the vast majority of votes,” Berman, a Democrat from Palo Alto, told SFGATE. “We’re not going to get to 100% one week after election day … but what are some reasonable goals to set that all counties will follow in terms of counting ballots as quickly as possible?.”Â
