I went to through past 20yrs to check when is last tome this happened. It was in 2011 when Greece went into crisis.

Ah Butt Nothing new… price Up because of printing …now down because of stop printing simple like ABC

I think in US many investors die.
Not because index go down 20% but they went to buy Palanthir and ARKK and bitcoin . These drop 50-80% and will never ever recover.
The Dow only drop 17%.but many already wiped out.
Because they bought junk stocks.
