Commentary: If Trump-Vance prevail in November, expect even more American isolationism

In choosing JD Vance as his running mate, former US president Donald Trump is going all in on framing the election as the opportunity to Make America Great Again (MAGA), says US politics expert Steven R Okun

Trump rejects Putin’s peace terms & Biden unnerves Democrats at historic debate

In a historic debate that focused little on foreign policy, no specific plans for reaching peace in Ukraine were mentioned by either party’s front runner. Both however, that isn’t likely what his party or the independent voters he’s hoping to sway in November will remember,  to his demeanor repeated throat clears offered no reassurances to voters.

81-year-old Biden pivoted away from abortion, one of his best issues to unite his party, to immigration, one of his worst issues that Trump wants to highlight. As debate barreled through a raspy-voiced Biden and factual inaccuracies by Trump, (former president’s campaign) blasted emails to supporters. “Under President Donald J. Trump…Russia was under control,” one read.“We are in a little bit of a calm b4 the storm.”

North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un walks with another distator Russian President Vladimir Putin shortly after arrival in Pyongyang, North Korea. The U.S. Director of National Intelligence, recently warned “Russia’s need for support in context of Ukraine has forced it to grant some long-sought concessions to China, North Korea, and Iran with the potential to undermine, among other things, long-held non-proliferation norms.”How much does this matter? Some theorists have long been skeptical about efforts to limit the spread of nuclear weapons, even arguing proliferation can be a stabilizing force. If the horrors associated with nuclear weapons are one reason why have  no wars between great powers since 1945.

MILWAUKEE — Former President Donald Trump didn’t just select a running mate here – he doused political kerosene on raging Republican fire over foreign policy. Sen. J.D. Vance 39, one of party’s leading national security doves strengthened the hand of isolationist forces eager to undo hawkish GOP consensus has to endured the Reagan era. If Trump prevail in Nov, the non-interventionists will have one of their most articulate advocates at Trump’s side. What worries GOP hawks is Vance maybe last adviser in former president’s ear while
toeing party line & praise him in  public comments, but in private the interventionists range from horrified to merely alarmed, among one louder critics is of aiding Ukraine.

WASHINGTON: US President Joe Biden vowed on Friday (Jul 19) to continue his campaign for re-election even as more fellow Democrats in Congress urged him to end his floundering campaign, fearing that it could cost the party dearly in the Nov 5 election. More than one in ten congressional Democrats have now publicly called on 81-year-old incumbent - who is isolating at his Delaware home with a case of COVID-19 - following a disastrous June debate against Republican Trump raised questions about his ability to carry out his duties for another 4-years.

Biden remained defiant, saying he would resume campaigning soon. "The stakes are high, and the choice is clear. Together, we will win," he said in a statement. "I look forward to getting back on the campaign trail next week to continue exposing the threat of Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda while making the case for my own record and the vision that I have for America," he added, referring to a policy plan developed by Trump's conservative allies.

US President Joe Biden withdraws from the presidential race after weeks of mounting pressure from Democrats. He says it's "in the best interest of my party and the country" – but will stay on for the final six months of his term

Biden endorses Kamala Harris, his vice-president, to be the new Democratic nominee. Harris says she intends to "earn and win" the nomination and do "everything in my power to... unite our nation to defeat Donald Trump"

Former President Bill Clinton and Hilary Clinton, who ran against Trump in 2016, also endorse Harris - saying Democrats must "fight with everything we've got to elect her". Former President Barack Obama says Democrats will name an "outstanding nominee", but does not endorse Harris or any candidate

First Lady Jill Biden has been supportive of her husband "whatever road he chose", her spokeswoman tells the BBC. Biden, 81, faced increasing calls to step aside since a faltering debate performance against Trump last month

Biden drops out of 2024 US presidential race, endorses Kamala Harris.
REHOBETH BEACH, Delaware: US President Joe Biden dropped his faltering re-election bid on Sunday (Jul 21), amid intensifying opposition within his own Democratic Party, and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to replace him as the party's candidate against Republican Donald Trump.

Biden, 81, in a post on X, said he will remain in his role as president and commander-in-chief until his term ends in January 2025 and will address the nation this week. He has not been seen in public since testing positive for COVID-19 last week and is isolating at his home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison said the American people will hear from the party on next steps & the path forward for nomination process soon. It was first time in more than a half-century that an incumbent US president gave up his party's nomination.

If officially nominated, Harris, 59, would become first Black woman to run lead a major-party ticket in US history. A former attorney general of California, a former US senator, she unsuccessfully run for president against Biden in 2020.

So, now two less one, one and only one old man is Trump to run the race, the last race against a lady to the 2024 U.S. presidential Election, who is a younger Kamala Harris 59. The U.S.A.  President Joe Biden nominated, Harris, 59, would become first Black woman to run lead a major-party ticket in US history. A former attorney general of California, a former US senator, she unsuccessfully run for president against Biden in 2020.

Even his vice president who he pick to succeed him, didn’t find out until the day he announced his decision. Its a...bad night.

A ‘bad night’ changes the race In the end, Biden was confronting an untenable path forward: More than three dozen Democrats had publicly called for him to exit the race. Party leaders had told him he couldn’t win. And the money was drying up from donors who said they felt betrayed by the lack of disclosure around the condition of Biden’s health.

Trump will have a decisive win. Your brain will tell you it is 101% win.
Trump's assassination's survival tell the American the world will now view Trump with pure fear. His image on the world's political stage as a US President will simply escalate because of the event. Only stupid American will vote otherwise. Just look at Tesla and facebook, both knew this and simply donate to the Republican now. Republican donation had been behind the Democrats because of the media massive contribution, now they have to admit defeat.

The past 4 years Biden presidency of world's events and wars tell you world leaders had no fear of Joe. Now it is different with Trump if he becomes the US President. They know this guy meant business and indeed US business had been doing so well until the Covid attack. This time will have no Covid when Trump took over.

Like Ronald Reagan, who had survived in an assassination attempt, Trump will bring the US economy to greater heights after the survival.
