Problem for Trump is thjs

1. Trump antagonise every other country especially its allies. None of them trust Trump or will play alone. Trump explicitly says that he js for America and what happens to allies he does care.

2. Today only 16% of China exports goes to US and the number js falling.

3. The US acting alone will have a limited impact on China.

4. Under Trump burning trade relations with every other country using tariffs will drive countries to trade with China

5.Under Trump, allies won't join the playbook.

Trump divides America.....there is no other president that brings such a high level of acrimomy and hate.

Trump divides the Western world and its values. ..he tramples over democratic values, rights and freedom.

Trump never had a good strategy. His first 4yrs were chaotic and disruptive.

My biggest concern is not what he will do to China but what he will do to the Climate and environment. The world took great effort and time to come to an agreement. He will tear it up and go on a path that will accelerate climate change.

Different country different ways to face trade frictions.  In the 80s when Japan has trade friction with Europe and America,  they increased their overseas investments by more than 3 times in these countries, peaking around USD 70 billion in 1989. When China faces the same this time, they withdraw their investment.
