A mother-of-four and her new partner have been stabbed to death in a double killing just days after she warned police she had been threatened.
Katie Higton, 27, a mental health nurse, and Steven Harnett, 25, were found at Ms Higton's house on Harpe Inge, Dalton, on Monday with multiple injuries believed to have been inflicted by a bladed weapon.
Officers are holding a 34-year-old Huddersfield man in custody under arrest on suspicion of the murder of the pair, who were confirmed to have died at the scene.
Ms Higton's two eldest daughters aged nine and ten were in the house during the attack
