The reason for the emergency landing is unknown.
Japan's Ryukyu Shimbun reported that at around 8:00 pm on the 20th, two U.S. Air Force B-1B supersonic strategic bombers arrived at the U.S. Air Force Kadena Base in Okinawa. One of them was parked on the airport runway and its engine was shut down. It appeared to be an emergency landing.
