The author has misreported the Biosphere was carried onboard the Moon rover (Yutu-2)...

That is not correct - The experiment which consist of 5 plant type and 1 type of fruit flies was conducted on the CE4 lander.

It is good that the Chinese Govt didn't put some farmers and sheep on the moon or there would be a great deal of nocturnal activities that have nothing to do with farming up there. LOL!

The article not using the words properly.
Is just test inside the probe.

Not suitable without protection.

Space breeding is a process in which plant seeds are exposed to cosmic radiation and microgravity during a space mission, causing genetic mutations. Then the seeds are returned to Earth, where scientists evaluate the mutations, some of which confer properties favored by farmers, such as greater yields, shorter growth periods and better resistance to disease.....In August 1987, China's ninth retrievable scientific-experiment satellite carried a batch of seeds on its first space journey. Upon returning to the ground, scientists found significant genetic changes and initiated a series of further experiments involving crossbreeding.

On the following day, the experiment entered a new phase as lunar night set in, external temperatures dropped to -52°C (-62°F), and the experiment failed to maintain a comfortable temperature. As temperatures continued to drop, eventually reaching -190°C (-310°F), the experiment continued to test the longevity of the BEP. Eventually, it was reported that the sprouted plants had died, that the potatoes failed to sprout, and that the fruit flies failed to hatch. The total run time for the experiment was nine days instead of the planned 100. But as Xie indicated, valuable information was obtained. Said Xi:
