The inflation news is just a market talk. They already knew that inflation will be tamed by a Fed rate hike; also, a Fed rate hike in a low-interest environment is not detrimental. They also knew that QT is the real McCoy.
QT is doing exactly the opposite of QE. The last QT they did in 2017-2018 failed and they ended it in 2019 when the repo rate jumped 10% because the market had a liquidity problem. The market is expecting QT this time is not going to be any different. Let's wait and see.
