US Mid-Term : China is a key issue...
#1

The US voters are feeling very insecure about China despite their leaders reassurance that much has been done.

These worries revolves around China support for Putin who has involved himself in conflicts with the west and threaten nuclear war. China's trading practices which have been seen as unfair and refusal to sign a negotiated trade agreement during Trump presidency leading to trade war.

China is unlikely to be a key issue in mid-terms election when both Democrats and Republicans don't differ much on their stand on China. Voting for either party will get more or less the same results for stuff related to China.

Key issues should be those issues where the two parties' views differ greatly and this is where the votes become important.

Who are threatening who?

US is putting its warships at doorstep of China or is it China putting warships at US border?

NATO, at US directive, is doing the same for Russia.

China is not involved in war in Ukraine. So how could China be posing threat for US?

Plse watch the CNA report before commenting.
The main issue is voters are unhappy that their leaders are too soft on China on trade issues and want to vote for candidates that are tougher towards China.

Yeah, I watched it. The very first introduction from 7s was that domestic issues are the top issues for most US voters in this election. But in Ohio, there are some concern regarding China. Not US, only Ohio.

Not your fault though. Title came from CNA.

Why China must make US voters happy?

Why not Biden makes his voters happy?

Can US make Chinese happy? People in China also not happy with US.

It's the norm in politics (at least theirs). China is the whipping boy in US just like Singapore is the whipping boy in Malaysia. And the voters of both countries lapped it up.
