.ST Engineering pitched an updated version of its Ultimax 100.

"Colt’s Infantry Automatic Rifle 6940 was picked as the suitable replacement for ST Engineering’s Ultimax 100, which has been in service with the Singapore military for over 40 years."

Long long time ago I work in ST Electronics subsidiary? Agilis Communication think close shop liao. They do private projects but still main bulk projects are govt like dsta mindef etc. Now is 2023 not sure the percentage of private vs govt projects allocation. And yes they pay peanuts for engineer which is why I left and alot politics at higher level which filter down to us.

They still pay peanuts. More than that, they're unwilling to spend much on R&D. ST Eng will always remain a CMI company. Not just ST Eng. All our TH tech companies are basically tech-less.
