Not sure where you read all the information you mentioned here. 

China will not stage a confrontation take back unless Taiwan declares independence. Because like Blasterlord2 has wrote, China is still busy building up their wealth. And China has no reason to “bring” in Taiwan just yet. 

Those armies which were facing China have always been there, and that those fighter jets that flew into taiwan airspace were merely a “reminder” to remember their placing. The increasing number of flights were due to the current Taiwan’s administrations as well as the American’s administration keep provoking the sensitive issues of independence. 

Rumours have been talking about President Xi wanted to attack Taiwan before he retires were made up by the western’s media for many years now. How true were this? nobody knows. But for something that keep chanting after some times, it may well just come true. 

Just ask yourself, if every day someone keep chanting that you’re a gay wouldn’t you want to consider being one? This is a psychological effect or hypnotic effect, especially when this chant is coming from all angles. It takes a strong man to resist, but for someone who is weak?

For now I don’t think China want to use force to bring in Taiwan, because this will affect the citizens in taiwan to hate China as well as President Xi even more. That’s not what China wants, judging from many past events that they didn’t act on them which the DPP administration has provoked the Chinese administration far too many times.
