PAP will lie and mislead to say half of the professions are in shortage lah
They did not even define properly like other countries
1) Acute Shortage
Is it 25% of the total existing profession?
2) Shortage because it is new industry
like making rockets to fly to the moon
3) Is the Demand 25% higher than the current average 12 mths Supply?
4) It takes more than 5 years to train a qualified candidate?
So, Tan SL can BS all the way in his Compass Framework
and still allow abuse under his nose to discriminate us unfairly like past 10 years

The Skills Shortage list should be clear and available to be updated every 2 years. However, I am sure FTs will also abuse it by adding these “skills” into their job postings to get 20 points. In view of their desperate measure to enter Singapore, Profession Shortage List will be more congruent.
