Israel-Gaza war: US says Hamas has command centre under Al-Shifa hospital

The US says it has intelligence that Hamas has a command centre under Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City.

National Security spokesman John Kirby said the group stored arms there and were prepared for an Israeli attack.

This is the first time the US has independently backed claims by close ally Israel that Hamas uses hospitals to hide its bases. Hamas denies this.

The statement came as Israel faced mounting global pressure to protect civilians trapped in the hospitals. read more

The Truth About Tonkin
Questions about the Gulf of Tonkin incidents have persisted for more than 40 years. But once-classified documents and tapes released in the past several years, combined with previously uncovered facts, make clear that high government officials distorted facts and deceived the American public about events that led to full U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War.

What "mistakes" ? WMD story is a blatant lie concocted by the US Gov to justify illegal war and invasion against another country.

Today's Iraqi who once were as gullible as some SGTalkers here, hates the Americans and misses Saddam.,

And as a "thank you" to Washington, Iraq is now a good friend of Iran under Shiites rule....and the Arabs love thowing shoe at POTUS...

US completed a huge deployment of offensive forces around Iran and Hezbollah in an effort to deter them from widening the Israel-Hamas war to a second front in Lebanon, or even Syria and Iraq.

Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier strike group was dispatched to the Middle East three weeks ago and stopped to train with the Gerald R. Ford strike group in the Mediterranean Sea, arrived in the Arabian Sea this week. It is now only about 300 kilometers from the Iranian coast.

The U.S.S. Eisenhower, which has scores of fighter jets, is being escorted by two missile destroyers, a missile cruiser and an advanced submarine, which together are armed with hundreds of cruise missiles capable of hitting targets in most of eastern and central Iran.

U.S.S. Ford, which has been operating offshore Cyprus since it arrived in the Mediterranean Sea a month ago, counts in its strike group several destroyers armed with Tomahawk missiles capable of hitting targets in Western Iran, Syria and Iraq.

A third naval strike group, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is stationed in Red Sea. Two weeks ago, to supplement the deployment of F-16, F-15 and A-10 fighters in Jordan, the Persian Gulf, two B-1B Lancer bombers arrived at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey, near the Syrian border.

They entered the hospital but so far the IDF found nothing inside. Looks like they made a mistake for targeting the hospital. Hamas headquarter is not there…that explains why there was no fierce fighting when IDF entered hospital.
