A mixed force from the "Shahar" Battalion in the Rescue and Training Brigade of the Home Front Command joined the ground forces' activity in Gaza, the IDF said.

The female and male fighters of the battalion joined brigade combat teams in the 162nd division for tasks such as scanning buildings and locating weapons in the area of the Shati refugee camp. The camp is a Hamas stronghold in northern Gaza.

During a raid on a hotel where Hamas terrorists were hiding, soldiers also uncovered an underground floor in a hotel where intelligence material was found.

Report: 10-to-1 prisoners for hostages deal on table, Israel needs more info

Lebanese news outlet al-Akhbar reports that a proposal for a deal is being pursued to release 10 Palestinian prisoners for each Israeli hostage freed from Gaza, though Israel is conditioning its acceptance of the formula on who is included in the roster of inmates it would be expected to let go.

According to the news site, citing Egyptian sources, Cairo has asked Hamas for a status update regarding the 40 hostages that Israel wants out first, including women, the elderly and the infirm.

Released hostage Mia Schem, 21, described going through “hell” in Gaza Strip in a pair of televised interview. Schem was shot in the arm and taken hostage from Supernova music festival on October 7, as thousands of Hamas-led terrorists burst into southern Israel, killing more than 1,200 people and dragging around 240 into Gaza.

Houthi been attacking ships since Nov as more launching more than 100 drone and missile attacks on vessels passing through the vital shipping lane. The assassination of a top Hamas official in Beirut on Tuesday was welcomed by many in Israel as a necessary, even inevitable, step in the campaign to destroy Hamas that Israel has been waging since the terror group’s brutal Oct. 7 attacks.


But that mission is fraught with contradictions. The slain Hamas official, Saleh al-Arouri, was a key strategist and liaison with its Iranian sponsors, and analysts said his death was a blow to the group. It also appeared likely, however, to put on ice any talks between Israel and Hamas over freeing more hostages taken in the group’s Oct. 7 attacks, dealing yet another setback to families waiting desperately for their loved ones to come home.

Oo the Day meant to honor Hezbollah’s martyrs, the group’s secretary general, Hassan Nasrallah, dedicated a considerable portion of his speech to fighters elsewhere in the region. In a televised address, he praised not just Hezbollah’s strikes on Israel from southern Lebanon, but also “supporting fronts” in Iraq, Syria, who armed have carried out more than 60 attacks on American troops in past month. “These actions reflect great courage b'cos it is Americans they are fighting, the Americans whose fleets, aircraft carriers, and bases fill the region,” Nasrallah said of his Iraqi allies. “If you Americans want these operations on supporting fronts to stop, if you don’t want regional war, you must stop the aggression and war on Gaza Hamas.”

Nasrallah’s indicate growing unity among the so-called axis of resistance (he is a Iran backup) , a network of Iran-backed actors in the Mideast, includes Hamas, Hezbollah, the Syrian govt, the Houthis in Yemen, and armed groups in Iraq and Syria. Though this unity & violence it threatens to unleash has not yet translated into major military action, it marks the most significant backlash to the U.S. presence in the region in recent years.
