sgbuffet  is using an assumption of proportion:  Since  majority already vaccinated will mean more COVID death will come from this segment. Such thinking assumes vaccination alone can protect you from being seriously ill or dying from COVID.

That logic is simply false. Other factors like behavior and medical condition can up your chance of dying from COVID, even when vaccinated.
E.g. M'sia discover not all races have same % of catching COVID given high vaccination in that country. Ethnic Chinese are less likely to get COVID vs Indians and Malays...

Just do a quick observation - How often do one see non-Chinese wearing mask now in SG ?

I would avoid saying that.  However, the fact remains new vaccine-evasive COVID variants will continue to appear and death will continue to around the corner, even when people are vax with 4 or 5 boosters...Just asked the Jap with over 7600 confirmed COVID death in last Dec alone..

vaccination in Us for one dose is 80%
two dose is 70%
3 and above is 44.5%

Given vaccination death is still below 70%.
So is clear vaccination did provide protections.

You must know all Jab vaccines protection data means against Symptomatic infection not total infection.
Statistically difference in protection against death is small, with newer variants, some may fall faster,
so earlier data no longer valid. 

Most agree omicron should near to big flu death rate, the difference in ratio could be 
unreported cases, hospital overstretch and if lump those deaths due to other primary reasons as 
covid deaths to save administration cost and time.
If you look at Sg data, it is near to big flu death ratio. 

Also personal view mRNA covid vaccine concern is more to its injury is three folds higher according to Ozie data,
more so if one keep jabbing in short period, multiple each time when jabbed.
