Some estimated Ukraine alone has lost over 350,000 soldiers since 24 Feb 2022...
That does not include survivors...

The manpower casualty rate is quite high for Ukraine which is why in recent days they have changed tactics. They no longer go up close to attack and occupy the Russian positions. They use West supplied arty and missiles to bombard instead. Such tactics will not win war simply becuz some can dig real deep. Just ask the WW2 Jap soldiers how deep they dig. US Marines in the end just seal the cave opening and move on.

When major Western papers like WP started printing news like this....it is admitting Ukraine "counter offensive" is not well and worst reporting about Ukrainian casualties...it is also giving Zelensky a heads up that Biden will do another Afghanistan-style withdrawal of support to gov in Kyiv.... Big Grin

Cannot compare - Jap soldiers and their commanders in WW2 are just bloody Idiots like the suicide-squads of ISIS.
Russians are a totally different animal when comes to defensive play...Just ask what Napoleon and Hitler found out in 1812 and 1941 respectively.

When pro-west CNA started to sing the same tune of Washington Post..we know the war isn't going well for Ukraine. Big Grin

Is it worth for Ukraine to suffer on that scale, when trading away NATO might get it most of what it wants?
