Sep 29, 2022  With Giorgia Meloni’s rise to power in Italy, the European Union is set to witness some intense fights, because the new Italian leader is a no-nonsense leader who believes in giving it back as good as she gets. Also, she’s quite open to the idea of offending European leaders who try to throw mud on her country. 

She’s a nationalist, and so, standing up for her ‘fatherland’ with little to no regard for the feelings of her European partners comes naturally to Meloni. 

That means the European parliament will soon witness feisty exchanges between Italy and other countries. For starters, France has already taken up a fight with Italy. This comes just days after European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen threatened Italy against voting a right-wing government to power. Watch to know more.
