Veteran hawker questions NEA’s subletting rules, cites gaps on the ground

Veteran hawker Niven Leong criticised Singapore’s hawker centre policy enforcement, questioning its fairness and consistency. Citing fellow hawker Noorman Mubarak’s case, he urged the government to support entrepreneurship and conduct ground checks instead of relying on assumptions about subletting or chain operations.

All these greedy subletters should be banned for good so as to allow all those genuine hawkers to rent the stalls to earn a decent living.

All these subletters bid high as they can afford it and the result will be selling food at a high cost to recover the cost.

Why curb subletting when MOM

never curb Fake/ Unqualified/ Unaccredited FTs 10 years ago??

Because locals are low class and can be bullied??

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 87 PAP Ministers?
