South Korea is caught in the middle of a growing rivalry between the United States and China. Washington recently stopped a South Korean micro-chipmaker from shipping advanced equipment to its factory in China. U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai says the move was made out of “legitimate concerns about the risks to national security.”
